On Friday, October 6, we are co-sponsoring the first of several upcoming First Friday Salon Talks at the Rose O’Neill House, located on Drury’s Campus at at 1126 N. Summit Avenue.
4-5 p.m. the Rose O’Neill House launches its 2017-18 season of Salon Talks and Gallery Openings with a special feature:
Professor Teresa Hornsby, Professor of Religion and Director of the Women and Gender Studies Program will be sharing her thoughts on “How to Be An Academic and Not Lose Your Mind: Scholarship, Activism and Punk Rock.”
The gallery exhibit includes “Works on Paper and Porcelain” by Professor Jo Van Arkel, Professor of English and Faculty Advisor to the Rose O’Neill House.
Please join us for wine, snacks, conviviality and some home brew samples before you head out to the Pool Art Center and other First Friday events.
Rose O’Neill House Salon Talks are co-sponsored by the Humanities and Ethics Center and the Women and Gender Studies Program. They are free and always open to the Drury community and the public.
