Humanities and the Future: A One-Day Symposium
The HEC continues to offer a range of programming this spring, and we will be expanding our annual Speaker Series into a full-day Symposium, “Humanities and the Future,” which will take place on Thursday, March 22. For more information on our Reading Series and student events at the Humanities House, please click here Reading Series and Humanities Society.
This year’s Symposium is sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council, and will include panels on Digital Humanities, Medical Humanities, a networking lunch, and a reading discussion of the Introduction and first chapter of The Case for the Humanities, by Eric Touya de Marenne.
The day’s events will be capped off with a keynote address by Dr. Brandy Schillace entitled Dread Tech Tales: Unexpected Consequences of Humans and Machines. To learn more about Dr. Schillace, click here.
All events are free and open to the public, but registration is required for the daytime Symposium events. Registration information and schedule to be posted soon.
